Abuja will host the 2026 RegTech Africa Conference & Expo from 20th to 22nd May. The event aims to gather global leaders in policy, finance, and technology to shape the future of trusted digital financial systems and cross-border trade. Organisers have announced a packed agenda under the theme Building Trust, Infrastructure and Policy for a Borderless Economy.

The three-day conference will feature strategic ministerial dialogues, closed-door executive roundtables, and investment-focused breakout sessions. Technology showcases and curated networking platforms will also form part of the programme. One highlight is the Global Startup World Cup Tournament – Regional Challenge, where African startups can pitch to an international panel for a chance to win a $1,000,000 investment prize.

The event is under the patronage of the Office of the Vice President of Nigeria. It is organised in partnership with the Presidential Committee on Economic & Financial Inclusion (PreCEFI) and the Inter-Governmental Action Group against Money Laundering in West Africa (GIABA). Thousands of participants from Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and North America are expected to attend.

Sponsorship and strategic partnership opportunities remain open for public and private sector organisations, multinational corporations, and technology firms. Interested parties can contact [email protected] or visit www.regtechafricaconference.com for registration and partnership details.

The conference will take place at the State House Banquet Hall in Abuja. It seeks to foster collaboration among policymakers, financiers, and tech innovators. No recent Nigerian government initiatives to strengthen cross-border digital financial infrastructure have been reported in available records.
