Astana hosts free public legal clinic to strengthen law and order

A public outreach event took place in Astana on June 25 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The initiative aimed to promote the principle of 'law and order' by offering residents direct access to legal support. Specialists from various government bodies gathered at a local shopping and entertainment centre to provide guidance on a wide range of issues. Representatives from the prosecutor’s office, government agencies, and local departments attended the event. Residents could consult experts on topics such as employment, social protection, education, healthcare, housing, children’s rights, and entrepreneurship. The prosecutor’s office also addressed daily inquiries on administrative offences, housing disputes, utility billing, and social services.

A key focus was on children’s rights protection. Experts advised parents on handling violations, school conflicts, bullying, guardianship matters, and support for children with special educational needs. Representatives from Astana’s Child Rights Protection Agency confirmed that all reports of potential violations are reviewed under their authority.

Participants received informational brochures outlining legal rights and procedures. The open format allowed residents to seek advice without prior appointments, which many found convenient. Eraly Beysekeyev, a prosecutor from Astana’s Yesil District Prosecutor’s Office, stated that the event was designed to make legal assistance more accessible to everyone. The event provided a platform for residents to consult specialists from multiple agencies in one location. Informational materials were distributed to help individuals understand their rights and legal options. Organisers highlighted the success of the format in connecting the public with essential legal support.
