Teen Charged With Murder After Deadly Hit-and-Run in New Jersey

An 18-year-old man has been charged with murder after a fatal hit-and-run in Cranford, New Jersey. Vincent Battiloro is accused of killing two teenage girls while driving at high speed. The incident took place on Burnside Avenue on September 29, 2025. Maria Niotis and Isabella Salas, both 17, were riding an e-bike when they were struck by a vehicle. Investigators believe Battiloro intentionally hit them while driving at least 70 mph in a 25 mph zone. He allegedly abandoned the SUV and fled the scene on foot.

Battiloro was arrested two days later and charged with two counts of first-degree murder. A video discussing the crash was later streamed on his YouTube channel. Prosecutors have confirmed he will be tried as an adult, though no court date has been set yet. The case remains under investigation. Battiloro faces serious charges for the deaths of Niotis and Salas. Authorities have not released further details about the next steps in the legal process.
