A severe heatwave is sweeping across Europe, bringing unusually high temperatures to several countries. Crimea will also feel the impact, with forecasts warning of extreme heat and related risks. The predictions come from Marina Makarova, a specialist at Russia’s Hydrometeorological Center, as reported by TASS. The heatwave will first push temperatures in Crimea to 25–30°C on June 27. This is already 2–5 degrees above the seasonal average for the region.
By June 28, the mercury is expected to climb further, reaching 27–32°C. The peak will arrive on June 29–30, with highs of 30–34°C.
The extreme conditions increase the risk of wildfires across Crimea. Thunderstorms and storm warnings may also follow as the heatwave intensifies. Neighbouring areas, including Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, and Ukraine, will experience similar extremes. The heatwave will bring abnormal warmth to Crimea and nearby European nations. Authorities are likely to monitor wildfire threats and storm warnings closely. Temperatures will remain well above average for several days.
