Amur Book Shores Fair Honors Regional History and Cultural Legacy

The 15th International Book Fair and Exhibition Amur Book Shores took place in Blagoveshchensk from June 19 to 21. Over 70 authors showcased more than 140 publications at the event. Several works received recognition during the fair. Among the awarded publications was Georgiy Dulkeit’s Across the Islands and Shores of the Sea of Okhotsk. The book earned a third-degree diploma in the Fascinating Local History category. It explores the economic life around the Sea of Okhotsk, featuring photographs and archival images. The project was a joint effort by the Magadan Regional Cultural Workers’ Public Organization, the Pushkin Library, and Okhotnik Publishing House.

Another honoured work was the bibliographic index Man of the Long Spring. It received a second-degree diploma in the Dialogue of Cultures category. Prepared by the Magadan Regional Youth Library, the index marks the 95th anniversary of Yuri Rytkheu. It includes a concise biography of the author and a record of his published works from 1949 to 2025. This is the first such guide to Rytkheu’s works since 1957. The index was published by St. Petersburg’s Kordis Publishing House. The fair highlighted diverse literary achievements. Both awarded works contribute to preserving and promoting regional history and cultural heritage. They are now available for readers interested in the Sea of Okhotsk and Yuri Rytkheu’s legacy.
