Invictus Jet Aims to Cut London-to-Sydney Flights to Just Three Hours

A new aircraft named Invictus may revolutionise long-haul travel. It aims to slash the London to Sydney flight from over 20 hours to just three. The project has drawn backing from major space agencies in Europe and the UK. The Invictus plane is designed to reach speeds that would allow passengers to depart London in the morning and arrive in Sydney by lunchtime. If successful, it could outpace even the legendary Concorde by roughly 14 hours on the same route.

Development is still in the early stages. Engineers face years of testing before the aircraft can take off. Current estimates place the first potential flight in the 2030s.
