Jeremiah Daniels' Award-Winning Color Book Hits Netflix Ahead of Father's Day

A new film starring Jeremiah Daniels, a teenager from Aurora, Colorado, is now streaming on Netflix. The movie, titled Color Book, tells the story of a father and son navigating their relationship after a tragedy. Its release coincides with Father’s Day weekend, a date Jeremiah plans to celebrate with his own father. Jeremiah Daniels recently spoke at the 6th International Conference of the Trisomy 21 Research Society. He shared his love for his father, Terrance, who joined him on stage. Terrance was both surprised and grateful for the opportunity to appear on the panel.

Jeremiah has described his father as his favourite superhero. He sees his own superpower as running fast, much like the comic book character The Flash. His film, Color Book, has already won over 30 awards at festivals and is now being distributed to a wider audience.

Michelle Sie Whitten, President and CEO of the Global Down Syndrome Foundation, highlighted progress in research since Jeremiah’s birth. She noted that lifespans for people with Down syndrome have doubled, and clinical trials aim to further improve health outcomes. The film’s release on Netflix marks a milestone for Jeremiah Daniels. It also draws attention to the ongoing work in Down syndrome research. The timing of the launch adds a personal touch, as Jeremiah prepares to spend Father’s Day with the man he calls his hero.
