Wartburgkreis Disability Office Closes Briefly for Tech Relocation

The Disability Assessment Office of the Wartburgkreis District Administration will close for in-person appointments on 1 and 2 July 2026. The shutdown stems from the relocation of the Thuringian State Data Center, as announced by the Thuringian State Office of Administration. The closure affects the specialized software needed for disability assessments. This means staff cannot process requests or conduct evaluations during the two days.

Telephone support will also be limited during this period. The restriction applies statewide due to a technical system transition. Full operations, including all inquiries and assessments, are set to restart by Monday, 6 July 2026. The office will reopen for normal service once the system is back online. All disability assessment activities will then resume as usual. The temporary disruption is tied directly to the data center move.
