Astana strengthens labor rights with new digital tools and legal guidance

The Astana City Prosecutor’s Office and the State Labor Inspectorate recently held a meeting with employees of contractor organisations under Astana-Tazalyk LLP. The session focused on labour rights and the proper procedures for addressing workplace disputes. During the meeting, officials explained how to file complaints with authorised government agencies in case of labour disputes. They also clarified the steps for formalising employment contracts to ensure legal compliance.

A pilot project was introduced to support workers further. The new initiative includes a Telegram bot designed to provide prompt consultations on labour law and rights protection. Additionally, authorities emphasised the prohibition of unauthorised gatherings and illegal actions when resolving workplace conflicts. The Astana City Prosecutor’s Office continues its efforts to safeguard labour rights and prevent workplace conflicts. The measures also aim to improve legal literacy among employees in the region.
