Magadan wraps up heating season with summer maintenance underway

Magadan has officially ended its 2025–2026 heating season. The shutdown was announced on 22 May 2026, marking the start of a three-month inter-heating period. Heating has already been turned off in the Sokol district of the city. The city now begins preparations for the next winter. MagadanTeploSet will carry out pressure testing of outdoor heating networks in central districts from 1 to 3 July. Similar tests in the Sokol settlement are scheduled earlier, between 17 and 19 June.

Magadan’s heating infrastructure includes 10 boiler plants, 11 central heating stations, and nearly 400 kilometres of networks. All systems will undergo checks to ensure readiness before the cold returns. The inter-heating period lasts until late August. During this time, maintenance and testing will take place across the city’s heating systems. The work aims to confirm all equipment is functional before the next season begins.
