New DLT Partnership in Italy Unites Issuance, Settlement, and Trading
Seturion, part of Boerse Stuttgart Group, has formed a partnership with Weltix and BlockInvest. Together, they will build an integrated digital ledger technology (DLT) infrastructure in Italy. The collaboration aims to streamline the issuance and settlement of tokenised financial instruments. The partnership allows issuers to structure and issue tokenised financial instruments through BlockInvest’s platform. Seturion will then handle the settlement of these transactions, offering options for central bank money or on-chain cash. Weltix will manage the circulation of these instruments via its DLT register, which is authorised by Italy’s Consob regulator.
The infrastructure enables trading of tokenised instruments across multilateral trading facilities and over-the-counter environments. It also provides direct access to Boerse Stuttgart Group venues. The initiative is open to additional participants, including banks, trading venues, and other market players.
Sven Wilke, Deputy CEO and CGO of Seturion, stated that the partnership provides the entire value chain in one regulated architecture, from issuance to settlement. Lorenzo Rigatti, Founder and CEO of BlockInvest, added that the collaboration creates a seamless, end-to-end corridor for banks and corporates to move assets and capital across European borders. The partnership seeks to address the fragmentation of Europe’s digital capital markets settlement layer. It combines issuance, circulation, and settlement in a single regulated framework. The initiative is designed to improve efficiency and accessibility in the digital asset ecosystem.
