Dortmund police bust 55-year-old in major drug and weapons raid

Police have arrested a 55-year-old man in Dortmund on suspicion of drug and weapons offences. The arrest followed an undercover operation that observed a drug deal taking place on Provinzialstraße at around 5:15 p.m. Undercover officers first spotted the suspect during the alleged drug transaction. They later searched his home and uncovered cocaine, a knife, and a range of other illegal substances. These included heroin, amphetamine, ecstasy, cannabis, and ketamine, as well as prescription medications not linked to the suspect’s use.

Authorities also seized multiple firearms, ammunition, a mobile phone, and a four-figure sum of cash. The confiscated items are now undergoing forensic examination to establish their origins and connections to the case.

The 55-year-old was taken into custody and brought before a magistrate. He remains in pretrial detention while investigations continue. The suspect faces charges under the Narcotics Act and the Weapons Act. Police have confirmed that the inquiry is still active. The evidence gathered so far will determine the next steps in the legal process.
