Opposition MPs challenge Kenya's Finance Bill 2026 over harsh tax measures

MPs from the United Alternative Government have spoken out against the Finance Bill 2026. Led by Bumula MP Wanami Wamboka, they held a press conference at Parliament Buildings in Nairobi on June 17, 2026. The National Assembly’s Committee on Finance and National Planning has raised concerns over the bill.
