Orbital Sets Sights on US Expansion with Miami as Its New Hub

Orbital, a global payment orchestration platform, has announced plans to expand into the US market. The company will base its operations in Miami, Florida, aiming to strengthen cross-border payment flows and digital asset services. Miami was chosen for its role as a hub for businesses connecting the US with Latin America. Orbital’s initial focus will include B2B payment providers, PSPs, and firms in the crypto and digital asset sectors. The move responds to growing demand from international clients needing better US connectivity, including onshore USD settlement and stronger support for US-linked payments.

The company currently processes around $12 billion annually across traditional currencies, stablecoins, and over 80 exotic currencies through a single platform. Over the next 12 to 18 months, Orbital expects to lay the groundwork for its US operations while expanding its global payment coverage. Regulatory approvals and money transmission licences will be pursued as part of a phased entry into the market.

Orbital holds enterprise-grade compliance credentials, including SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001:2022, and CSA Trusted Cloud Provider status. The recent GENIUS Act has also created a federal framework for US payment stablecoins, boosting activity among financial institutions building related infrastructure. The expansion will help Orbital meet rising demand for regulated, enterprise-grade payment infrastructure. The company’s compliance standards and existing global reach position it to support US-linked payment flows. Miami’s strategic location further strengthens its ability to serve Latin American and digital asset markets.
