AI-Powered Drone Interceptor P1-SUN Long Debuts in Ukraine's Air Defense

SkyFall and Airbus Defence and Space have agreed to collaborate on defending against drone and missile threats in Ukraine and Europe. The partnership aims to strengthen aerial security in the region through advanced technology. SkyFall has also introduced an upgraded version of its P1-SUN drone interceptor with AI capabilities. SkyFall recently unveiled the P1-SUN Long, a new drone interceptor equipped with an AI module. The system autonomously detects, tracks, and engages aerial targets. It has already undergone combat testing and is now operational with Ukrainian forces.

The AI model was trained using real combat data, simulations, and a proprietary drone signature replication platform. It enables faster target detection and locking than human operators. The software can identify and lock onto threats up to one kilometre away.

The P1-SUN Long integrates with SkyFall’s remote-control infrastructure, allowing management from any location with internet access. It also supports remote software updates for new neural network models and algorithm improvements. The AI runs on standard CPUs and GPUs, simplifying large-scale production. The system has already intercepted dozens of Russian Shahed-type attack drones in the field. The strategic partnership between SkyFall and Airbus Defence and Space will focus on countering drone and missile attacks across Ukraine and Europe. The P1-SUN Long interceptor, with its AI-driven guidance, is already proving effective in real-world conditions. Its adaptability and ease of deployment could enhance aerial defence capabilities in the region.
