Aguascalientes overhauls 2025–2026 school calendar with key date shifts

The school calendar in Aguascalientes state is set to change for the 2025–2026 academic year. Adjustments will affect both public and private schools, including basic, upper-secondary, and teacher-training institutions. The modifications follow an agreement between the Aguascalientes Institute of Education (IEA) and SNTE Section I. The most notable shift moves the end of the academic year forward to June 5. This change allows teachers to complete administrative duties by June 12, wrapping up tasks earlier than usual.

Another key adjustment involves the School Technical Council meeting. Originally planned for May 29, it will now be held on June 8. This rescheduling provides extra time for planning before the summer break. School communities will return on August 10 to begin the intensive phase of the School Technical Council. The session will focus on preparing for the upcoming academic year. The summer vacation will officially conclude on the same day, marking the start of new school activities.

The revised calendar aims to streamline the academic year’s end and improve preparation for the next term.
