ARK Invest reshapes portfolio with crypto exits and biotech bets

ARK Invest made several key changes to its portfolio last week. The firm trimmed positions in four companies while adding shares in just three. Among the moves, Cathie Wood's fund sold off a major stake in a cryptocurrency-related business.

The adjustments included both reductions and new investments, with notable activity in biotech and tech sectors.

ARK's most significant divestment came from Circle Internet Group, a cryptocurrency holding. The fund sold 45,998 shares, generating around $5.9 million. These sales came from both ARKK and ARKW funds.

The firm also exited positions in Teradyne, Bullish, Guardant Health, and Butterfly Network. On the buying side, ARK focused on three companies: Figma, Arcturus Therapeutics, and 10x Genomics.

On March 20, ARK acquired 337,381 Figma shares for over $8.1 million. Despite the company's 40% revenue growth, its stock has fallen 83% from its 2025 high. Figma remains privately held after its failed $20 billion Adobe acquisition in late 2023, blocked by regulators.

ARK also increased its stake in Arcturus Therapeutics across three trading days. The week ended with a Friday purchase of 22,773 shares, costing $153,034.

The firm's largest new holding was in 10x Genomics. ARK bought 192,658 shares, split between ARKK and ARKG, for a total of $3.54 million.

Meanwhile, Semrush—a separate company—saw its stock jump 77% to $12 per share after Adobe announced a $1.9 billion cash deal on November 19, 2025. That acquisition is set to close in early 2026.

ARK's latest trades reflect a shift away from certain tech and crypto holdings. The firm's new investments concentrate on biotech and software, despite recent volatility in some of those stocks. The moves follow a week of selective buying, with only three companies receiving fresh capital.
