Ayaneo's Xbox handheld finally enters production after costly delays

Ayaneo has confirmed that production of its Konkr Pocket Fit Elite handheld will start on March 17, 2026. The device, powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, faced delays due to supply chain problems. Backers can now expect their units to arrive by the end of the month.

The Konkr Pocket Fit Elite was originally set for earlier production, but memory shortages and rising prices disrupted plans. Ayaneo's initial order for storage modules was cancelled after the supplier halted production. To keep the project alive, the company secured new modules at nearly triple the usual cost, absorbing heavy financial losses.

Production paused during the Chinese New Year before resuming in early March. As an apology for the delay, Ayaneo offered backers a $15 store credit and a gift package worth $57.60. Those who bought accessories for the Elite were also told to contact customer service for refunds starting March 15.

The handheld features a 6-inch Full HD display with a 144Hz refresh rate and an 8,000mAh battery. Memory options range from 8GB RAM/128GB storage up to 24GB RAM/1TB storage. Ayaneo shared these updates through its Indiegogo campaign, confirming the mid-March production start.

The Konkr Pocket Fit Elite will now enter production after overcoming supply chain hurdles. Backers should receive their devices by late March, alongside compensation for the wait. Ayaneo's efforts to secure components at high costs highlight the challenges faced in bringing the Xbox handheld to market.
