A striking new light installation has opened in eastern Berlin, bringing the changing seasons of a forest to life. Titled Forest Seasons, the work transforms the Transformator art hall on Köpenicker Chaussee with kinetic light and natural imagery. Visitors can experience the exhibit until October this year. The installation is the creation of artist Christopher Bauder, known for blending architecture, nature, and dynamic lighting. His latest piece builds on the success of Dark Matter, a winter ice rink project that also used immersive light techniques. This time, the focus shifts to the shifting moods of a forest throughout spring, summer, autumn, and winter.

An original musical score by Dutch composer Chris Kuijten accompanies the visuals. The combination of sound and movement aims to deepen the sense of transformation. Natural shapes, architectural elements, and shifting light patterns work together to mimic the rhythms of a living woodland. The *Transformator* venue, a former industrial space, provides a stark contrast to the organic themes of the exhibit. Bauder's design plays with this contrast, using the hall's raw structure as a backdrop for the evolving lightscapes.

The exhibition runs for several months, offering a chance to see the forest's cycle in a single visit. Forest Seasons marks another collaboration between Bauder and Kuijten, following their earlier work on Dark Matter. The installation remains open daily at the Transformator until its closure in October.
