Celestis Launches Infinite Flight, a Deep-Space Memorial for the Afterlife

Celestis, Inc. has unveiled Infinite Flight, a deep-space memorial mission set for late 2026. The mission will carry the ashes, DNA, and names of participants aboard Stoke Space’s reusable Nova rocket. This marks the second commercial deep-space memorial flight in history. Founded in 1994, Celestis has spent over 30 years sending memorial capsules into space. Their latest mission, Infinite Flight, will launch from Stoke’s Space Launch Complex 14 at Cape Canaveral. The capsules will be placed aboard Nova’s upper stage before being propelled into a heliocentric orbit.

Infinite Flight is the second mission in Celestis’ Voyager Service, following their long-standing role as pioneers in memorial spaceflights. Stoke Space was chosen for its shared commitment to sustainable, high-frequency space exploration. The company’s Nova rocket, designed for reusability, aims to reduce costs and environmental impact in orbital missions.

Ensemble will oversee integration and mission management for the project. Families who take part will contribute to what Celestis describes as a landmark moment in space technology. The mission is scheduled for Q4 2026, with launch preparations already underway. Participant capsules will travel beyond Earth’s orbit, becoming a permanent part of the solar system. Celestis and Stoke Space continue to expand access to space memorials through reusable rocket technology.
