Changi Airport Unveils Terminal 5's Future in New Interactive Exhibition
Changi Airport has opened a new exhibition called T5 In the Making, giving visitors an early look at Terminal 5's design and future innovations. The free event runs from January 6 to March 2026 in Terminal 3's Arrival Hall. Organisers include Singapore's Ministry of Transport, the Civil Aviation Authority, and the Changi Airport Group. The exhibition is split into five themed zones. These cover the airport's history, Terminal 5's architecture, and upcoming technologies like AI. Interactive displays and scale models of Terminal 5 and the Changi East project are also on show.
Construction of Terminal 5 began in May 2024, with plans to finish by the mid-2030s. The terminal forms part of the larger Changi East development, which includes a third runway, cargo hubs, and new infrastructure. Once complete, the project is set to boost Singapore's economy by creating jobs and driving demand in multiple industries. Visitors can book free slots online on a first-come, first-served basis. Each booking allows up to five people. The exhibition aims to engage the public while showcasing Terminal 5's role as a future community space for travellers, workers, and families.
The T5 In the Making exhibition offers a detailed preview of Changi's next major expansion. Free and open until March 2026, it highlights the terminal's design, technology, and economic impact. Those interested can secure their visit slots through the official registration system.
