Colorado Snowstorm Shuts Down Schools and Disrupts Travel Statewide

A heavy snowstorm has hit Colorado The snowstorm first disrupted transport on mountain routes, making travel unsafe. Poudre School District initially cancelled classes only for its mountain schools. Later, it extended the closure to all its campuses.

Several other districts followed suit. Briggsdale School RE 10-J, Cherry Hills Christian School, Estes Park Schools, Thompson School District, and Lotus School for Excellence will all remain closed on Wednesday. Limon Public Schools, however, will operate on a delayed schedule instead. The Oval at Colorado State University will stay closed on Wednesday as well. Officials need more time to assess conditions before reopening the area.

The storm has already caused widespread disruptions, with schools and public spaces adjusting schedules for safety. Further updates will depend on weather assessments and road conditions over the next 24 hours.
