DAP backs Negeri Sembilan MB as Loke files police report over slander claims

DAP has thrown its full support behind Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun, rejecting any calls for his replacement. Meanwhile, a police report was filed against activist Badrul Hisham Shaharin over Facebook posts targeting Transport Minister Anthony Loke. The controversy began when activist Badrul Hisham Shaharin, also known as Chegubard, made allegations on social media. He claimed that Loke had channeled funds to groups aiming to destabilise Negeri Sembilan’s Undang institution. In response, Loke firmly denied the accusations, calling them 'serious slander'.

His political secretary, Ho Weng Wah, lodged a police report at the Seremban Police headquarters against Badrul Hisham. The report followed the activist’s Facebook posts, which Loke described as baseless and defamatory. Separately, DAP reaffirmed its commitment to the constitutional monarchy. The party stressed that any matters involving royal institutions must follow federal and state laws. Secretary-General Anthony Loke also dismissed claims of funding illegal activities, insisting the allegations were false. Earlier, Loke had launched two new travel initiatives—the MyKLIA Monthly TravelCard (MTC) and MyPutrajaya MTC—at KLIA Terminal 2 (T2). The event marked the introduction of discounted monthly passes for the Express Rail Link (ERL) service.

DAP remains steadfast in backing Aminuddin Harun as Menteri Besar, while Loke has taken legal steps against the activist’s claims. The police report will determine whether further action is needed over the social media allegations. Meanwhile, the new ERL travel passes aim to provide commuters with more affordable transport options.
