Drunk Driver Repeatedly Rams Vehicle and Flees - Drunk driver flips VW Golf in B10 crash before fleeing on foot

A 43-year-old man crashed his VW Golf on Federal Highway B10 near Lonsee after losing control of the vehicle. The car flipped several times before landing in a ditch, leaving the driver with minor injuries. Police are now investigating him for drunk driving and attempted hit-and-run.

The incident began when the driver veered off the road, causing the vehicle to roll repeatedly. Despite the severe damage, he managed to free himself from the wreckage and tried to flee on foot. A witness quickly intervened, chasing and detaining him until officers arrived.

At the scene, a breathalyzer test showed his blood alcohol level was around 1.8 per mille. Authorities immediately revoked his driver's licence and took him into custody. No other passengers were reported in the car, and no further witness statements have been provided.

The man now faces charges for drunk driving and leaving the scene of an accident. His vehicle was declared a write-off, while he escaped with only minor injuries. The investigation remains ongoing.
