Electra's Easter Surprise: Free Charging Credits for EV Drivers in Europe

Electra is running an Easter promotion at its fast-charging stations across Europe. From April 2 to 9, 2026, electric vehicle drivers can claim digital bonus codes while charging their cars. The offer includes both standard discounts and a chance to win a higher-value reward.

The promotion is open to new users of the Electra app, which can be downloaded via a QR code. Once installed, drivers can activate their bonus directly within the app. During the charging process, a countdown will appear on the credit card terminal, prompting users to press the 'Easter Bonus' button to claim their reward.

Two types of bonuses are available. The standard bonus gives a 50% discount on the next two charging sessions and must be used between April 2 and 16, 2026. The rarer golden codes, which have a 1 in 100 chance of being awarded, provide €10 in charging credit and can be redeemed until July 9, 2026. Each user can claim one standard bonus and one golden bonus if eligible. In Germany, the promotion covers all 26 of Electra's current charging hubs. While the exact number of golden codes redeemed by the end of June 2026 remains unknown, the company has confirmed that 500 such codes were distributed.

The Easter promotion runs for just over a week, ending on April 9, 2026. Drivers who claim a standard bonus will receive a discount on their next two sessions, while those lucky enough to secure a golden code will get €10 in credit. All rewards must be activated through the Electra app.
