Elon Musk Unveils Tesla's Bold AI, Robotics, and 2nm Chip Plans in Epic Interview

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has shared ambitious predictions about his companies' future in a recent interview. The conversation, which lasted over three hours and was held at Tesla's Gigafactory Texas, covered a wide range of topics including artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and the delayed launch of the Tesla Roadster.

Musk began by discussing Tesla's AI infrastructure, highlighting the Cortex clusters that power its Full Self-Driving (FSD) capabilities and the Optimus robot. He revealed that the upcoming Cortex 2 GPU training cluster would consume 500MW of power by mid-2026, marking a significant expansion in AI capabilities.

The CEO also announced Tesla's potential entry into semiconductor manufacturing. The company aims to build a 2nm fabrication plant, which Musk claimed would be so clean that eating a cheeseburger or smoking a cigar inside would pose no risk to the environment. He criticized existing chip fabs for lacking proper cleanliness standards, arguing that Tesla's design would set a new benchmark.

On robotics, Musk predicted that Optimus could surpass the best human surgeons within three years. His optimism extended to broader technological progress, though he acknowledged that the transition to an abundant future would be 'bumpy'.

The discussion also touched on the next-generation Tesla Roadster. Originally set for a late 2025 reveal, the prototype unveiling has been delayed to 2026. Musk described the upcoming demo as 'cool' but cautioned that the car might not be the safest choice for drivers.

The full interview is now available on the Bold Capital Partners YouTube channel. Tesla's plans include a 500MW AI training cluster, a revolutionary 2nm chip fab, and rapid advancements in robotics. Meanwhile, the Roadster's delayed reveal reflects ongoing development, with Musk framing it as a showcase of human-driven performance.
