Epochology Unites Students and Teachers in Inta's New Historical Challenge

A new intellectual entertainment project called Epochology has launched in Inta. The initiative brings together students and teachers for a series of themed competitions. Organisers aim to explore shared interests between generations while showcasing different historical periods.

The kickoff event took place at the Palace of Culture and Technology. Eight teams—four from students and four from teachers—will compete over the coming months. The project was developed by Alexey Naumov, with Alexey Tikhonov serving as director. It will run from January to May 2026, featuring monthly matches between student and teacher teams. Each team consists of six members.

The student teams include Raspberry Thicket from Gymnasium No. 2, Golden Youth from Lyceum No. 1, Non-Stop from School No. 8, and Right-Brainers from Gymnasium No. 3. Their opponents, the teachers’ teams, are Studio Soyuz (Gymnasium No. 2), Element 8 (School No. 8), Caution, Girls! (And Slava!) (Lyceum No. 1), and The Triumvirate (Gymnasium No. 3).

The first match is scheduled for January 31, pitting Non-Stop (students from School No. 8) against The Triumvirate (teachers from Gymnasium No. 3). The competition will conclude with a grand finale, where mixed teams of students and teachers will face off together.

Participants will explore historical eras through themed challenges, fostering collaboration and friendly rivalry. The project’s organisers hope to bridge generational gaps while making history engaging for all involved. The Epochology project will unfold over five months, culminating in a final event with combined student-teacher teams. Matches will test knowledge, creativity, and teamwork across different historical settings. The initiative marks a fresh approach to education and community engagement in Inta.
