Ex-Border Officer Gets 6 Years for Distributing Child Pornography

A former U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer from Michigan has been sentenced to six years in prison for distributing child pornography. Scott Rocky, 52, of Center Line, pleaded guilty to the offence in November 2025 after an FBI investigation uncovered hundreds of illegal files linked to his computer. The case began when an FBI agent identified over 530 files with names consistent with child pornography. These files had been shared by a computer using an IP address registered to Rocky. Many of the images and videos depicted real children aged between four and ten engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

During a search of Rocky’s home, investigators seized a desktop computer. On the device, they found a file with a German title describing sexual activity involving children. The evidence led to his arrest and eventual guilty plea. Rocky admitted to one count of distribution of child pornography. His sentencing took place in a federal court, where he received a six-year prison term.

The investigation confirmed that Rocky shared illegal material through his home computer. His conviction follows a guilty plea for distributing files involving the exploitation of young children. He will serve his sentence in a federal prison facility.
