First Phosphate secures $3M from warrant exercises to fuel LFP battery ambitions

First Phosphate Corp. has secured over $3 million from warrant exercises, boosting its financial position. The company remains debt-free while advancing its plans for a North American supply chain of LFP batteries. A key focus is the Bégin-Lamarche project in Quebec, a rare igneous phosphate resource in the region. The company recently raised $3,070,549 through the exercise of 2,456,439 warrants. This follows a broader financing push, with approximately $62.5 million raised since June 2022. All outstanding warrants, options, and restricted share units are held by current staff, management, and board members.

First Phosphate is accelerating development thanks to a $16.7 million non-repayable grant from the Canadian federal government. The funding supports its goal of creating a vertically integrated supply chain for LFP batteries, targeting markets like energy storage, data centres, and robotics. The Bégin-Lamarche project in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, Quebec, serves as the company’s flagship asset. It stands out as one of North America’s few igneous phosphate resources, positioning First Phosphate as a key player in the battery materials sector. The company now has 179,947,950 common shares outstanding.

With strong financial backing and a strategic phosphate resource, First Phosphate is moving quickly toward its supply chain objectives. The company’s debt-free status and recent funding will help drive its expansion in LFP battery production for critical industries.
