Grasp Names Ex-Pleo Exec Fredric Ghatan as New Chief Product Officer
Swedish AI startup Grasp has named Fredric Ghatan as its new Chief Product Officer. The former Pleo executive will now lead product and strategy efforts at the fast-growing company. His arrival comes as Grasp continues to expand its customer base and revenue. Grasp specialises in automating complex financial workflows for large enterprises. Its AI system cuts down on manual work by generating spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations automatically. The technology targets high-cost, time-consuming tasks in corporate finance.
The startup already serves nearly 250 clients across 30 countries. Among them are all four of the Big Four consulting firms. Since 2025, Grasp has quadrupled its Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), signalling rapid growth.
Fredric Ghatan joins from Pleo, where he served as VP of Product. Before that, he held leadership roles at Volvo Cars, focusing on scaling products, operations, and teams. At Grasp, he will guide product development to ensure customers maximise the solution’s value.
CEO and co-founder Richard Karlsson welcomed Ghatan’s appointment. The company aims to refine its product roadmap in line with technical advancements and real-world customer demands. Ghatan’s experience in scaling products will support Grasp’s next phase of expansion. The startup’s AI tools are already used by major consulting firms and hundreds of global enterprises. His leadership is expected to strengthen the alignment between product innovation and market needs.
