A new multiplayer game, Horizon's Hunters Gathering, is coming to PlayStation 5 and PC. Developed as a spin-off from the Horizon series, it introduces three-player monster hunts against deadly robotic creatures. The closed beta phase begins at the end of February 2026, offering players an early chance to test the experience online.

The game centres on team-based hunts against iconic robotic dinosaurs from the Horizon universe. Players select from a roster of hunters, each with unique abilities and customisable perks. These adjustments allow for tailored strategies depending on the mission or team setup.

Two mission types have been revealed. One pits players against waves of enemies culminating in a boss fight. The other offers a dungeon-like challenge with structured objectives. Between hunts, a central hub area lets teams socialise, plan tactics, and celebrate victories.

The narrative is shaped by the protagonists' personal stories and struggles. While details remain sparse, the game's live-service structure suggests possible microtransactions, particularly around the social hub and customisation options.

Access to the closed beta will be granted through the PlayStation Beta Program. No exact date or location has been confirmed, as the test will run online across both platforms.

The beta phase marks the first public hands-on with Horizon's Hunters Gathering. It will showcase the game's replayable hunts, strategic depth, and social features. Players can expect a mix of fast-paced combat and team coordination when the full release arrives.
