Kempten Welcomes Bitcoin Metropole, the Allgäu Region's First Crypto Hub

A new community space for Bitcoin enthusiasts, Bitcoin Metropole, is launching in Kempten. The hub will open its doors on March 13 at Rathausstraße 2, on the first floor. The event is free and welcomes everyone, from beginners to experienced users curious about cryptocurrency concepts.

The grand opening begins at 10 AM, offering a chance to explore the space and meet like-minded people. Unlike other regions in Germany, the Allgäu area currently has no similar Bitcoin-focused venues, making this the first of its kind in the area.

The hub will host regular activities, including beginner courses on Bitcoin, hands-on workshops, and casual meetups. Art projects themed around cryptocurrency will also feature, reflecting the creative input of MX12 ART, the local Bitcoin artist running the space. Support comes from the wider Kempten Bitcoin community, with organisers actively seeking more volunteers and sponsors.

To fund refreshments for the opening day, the team aims to raise €700 through sponsorships. Any extra money collected will go toward covering next month's rent, ensuring the project remains sustainable.

Bitcoin Metropole is designed as an open, relaxed space for learning and networking. With no other similar hubs in the region, it fills a gap for local cryptocurrency supporters. The project relies on community involvement to grow and maintain its activities.
