Landshut's New Cycling Guide Unveils 29 Scenic Routes for Every Rider

A new cycling tour guide for the Landshut region will launch at the Landshut Environmental Fair in March 2026. The free guide includes 29 routes, from short after-work trips to a 240-kilometre scenic tour. Visitors can pick up a copy at the fair or find it online and at local tourism offices.

The guide is a joint project by the Landshut District Authority and the city of Landshut, developed under the Region Landshut initiative. Each route features a map, a brief description, and QR codes linking to more details on the erleben.landshut.de website. A new Time Machine app also provides historical context for key points of interest, including museums along the way.

One standout route is the NiederbayernTOUR, a 240-kilometre journey split into seven stages. For those seeking shorter rides, the guide includes after-work options starting at just 14 kilometres. Südostbayernbahn trains along the route will offer free bike transport, supported by local district funding.

The guide will be available for free at the Region Landshut booth (H009) during the Landshut Environmental Fair from March 13–15, 2026. Copies will also be distributed at tourism offices and online, alongside the existing Leisure Guide.

The new guide aims to promote cycling tourism in the region, offering both short and long-distance options. Free bike transport on trains and digital tools like the Time Machine app provide extra support for riders exploring Landshut and beyond.
