New Open-Source AI Governance Tool Cuts Costs by 60% While Ensuring Compliance

Levels Of Self, led by Arthur Palyan, has launched an open-source AI governance tool called the Nervous System Framework. The system aims to streamline workflows while ensuring compliance with strict regulations. Its release comes as demand grows for multi-agent AI systems in business operations.

The Nervous System Framework manages 13 autonomous AI agents across five messaging platforms. These include Telegram, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, and web interfaces. By automating repetitive tasks, companies using the tool report cost reductions of 40–60%.

The framework operates as a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, available via npm. Key features include configuration drift detection, SHA-256 hash-linked audit trails, and automated compliance checks. Since deployment, it has already blocked over 99 governance violations in live environments. Levels Of Self highlights the framework's governance layer as a security strength. This aligns with new regulations like the U.S. Executive Order 14110 and the EU AI Act, both requiring auditable AI systems. NVIDIA's recent release of NemoClaw, another multi-agent orchestration tool, further validates the architecture behind Levels Of Self's approach.

The Nervous System Framework offers businesses a way to cut costs while meeting regulatory demands. Its early success in detecting violations suggests potential for wider adoption in AI governance. The tool's open-source nature also allows for broader industry testing and refinement.
