PGA Tour of Hope returns to Engers Castle for 29th charity edition
The PGA Tour of Hope will make its way back to Engers Castle on July 26, 2023. The annual charity event has raised hundreds of thousands of euros over 28 editions to support children with cancer and those in need. Local officials and organisers have already begun preparations for the upcoming stop.
Lord Mayor Jan Einig welcomed the tour's return, expressing delight at its impact on the community. He pledged full support for the event and its fundraising efforts. Alongside him, Mayor Peter Jung and Deputy Mayor Ralf Seemann met with PGA Tour Chairman Bernhard Sommer, his deputy Hans-Josef Bracht, and honorary chairman Jürgen Grünwald to discuss logistics.
The three-day cycling convoy remains the event's most visible highlight. But fundraising activities start months in advance at each stop along the route. In Engers, local organisers Martin Hahn, Volker Gelhard, and Klaus-Peter Fries are coordinating the preparations.
Since its first edition, the PGA Tour of Hope has become a key fundraiser for children's cancer charities. The 2024 route details remain unconfirmed, with no additional cities or municipalities announced as official stops yet.
The Engers stop will take place at the historic Engers Castle on July 26. Organisers and local leaders are working together to ensure a successful event. Funds raised will continue supporting children battling cancer and those facing hardship.
