Philadelphia's Kids & Confetti Parade Brings Temporary Road Closures on February 12
Philadelphia's city centre will see temporary road closures and traffic changes on February 12, 2026. The measures are in place for the annual Kids & Confetti children's Carnival parade, which draws between 1,500 and 2,000 young participants each year. Organisers have planned the main event to ensure safety for all involved.
The parade will run from 9:30 AM to around 10:30 AM, following a set route through the heart of the city. Streets along the procession will be completely closed to vehicles during this time.
Temporary access restrictions and no-parking zones will also apply around the marketplace and Schlossstraße. Despite the closures, emergency routes will stay open and fully operational at all times.
Authorities have advised motorists and residents to avoid the area where possible. Alternative routes are recommended to minimise disruption during the event.
The traffic adjustments are designed to keep the children's parade safe and orderly. With clear emergency access maintained, the focus remains on protecting the young participants. The Grevenbroicher Karnevalsverein organises the event annually, ensuring a festive but secure experience for all.
