Skoda Kushaq facelift arrives with subtle updates but lacks key safety tech
Skoda has updated its Kushaq SUV with a mid-cycle facelift. The refreshed model brings subtle design tweaks and retains its strong driving performance. However, some key features remain missing compared to rivals in the same price range.
The Kushaq facelift follows Skoda's Modern Solid design approach. Up front, a new grille takes centre stage, flanked by connected LED daytime running lights. The bumpers now look chunkier, while the headlamps, fog lamps, and tail lamps have been slimmed down. All variants come with a full LED lighting package as standard.
Inside, the front seats offer excellent comfort, with ventilation included. Rear passengers also benefit from plush seating, including an optional massager function. Despite a flat floor, the rear bench remains tight, comfortably fitting only two adults rather than three. On the road, the Kushaq keeps its sharp handling. The steering feels precise, and the engines deliver strong performance, even during sudden lane changes at higher speeds. Ground clearance stays unchanged at 188 mm—lower than many competitors. The update does not introduce advanced driver aids. Missing features include a 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, lane-keep assist, blind-spot detection, and lane departure warnings. Several cheaper rivals already offer these as standard.
The Kushaq facelift arrives with minor styling changes and the same capable driving experience. While front and rear seat comfort improves, the lack of modern safety tech puts it behind some competitors. The SUV's ground clearance also remains a limitation for rougher roads.
