Smena App Launches in Yakutsk with Instant Discounts for Subscribers
A new mobile app called Smena has launched in Yakutsk, offering users instant discounts at local venues. The startup, founded by Yevgeny Bzhelenko, recently won a place in the 14th cohort of the B8 Accelerator. Its subscription-based model aims to simplify access to deals across restaurants, cafés, and other businesses. Smena operates on a paid subscription system called smeny, with three tiers: Standard, VIP, and Platinum. Unlike many loyalty programmes, discounts and bonuses apply immediately—no points or delayed cashback are required. A single subscription covers all partner venues, making it easier for users to save across different locations.
Businesses can list their details in the app for free, giving them visibility without upfront costs. The platform has already rolled out in Yakutsk, with plans to expand into Vladivostok, Tyumen, and Anapa in the near future. The startup’s recent success in the B8 Accelerator programme highlights its potential in the regional market. Founder Yevgeny Bzhelenko designed the app to streamline how customers discover and use discounts, cutting out the usual hassle of traditional reward schemes.
Smena’s app is now live in Yakutsk, providing instant savings for subscribers. The company’s expansion into other cities will depend on partnerships with local businesses. For now, users can sign up for one of three subscription plans and start accessing deals straight away.
