SWISSto12 Soars in 2025 with 40% Revenue Growth and Satellite Breakthroughs

SWISSto12 saw major growth and innovation in 2025. The company expanded its operations, launched new technology, and strengthened its leadership team. Revenue rose by 40%, while the workforce grew by 38%. The year began with key appointments. Steve Collar, former CEO of SES, became Chairman, while SATCOM veteran Fredrik Gustavsson took on the roles of CFO and CSO. Their arrival coincided with a period of rapid expansion.

In early 2025, SWISSto12 opened a new facility in Madrid, broadening its global presence. Around the same time, the company upgraded its mission-control centre in Georgia. These moves supported ongoing projects, including the development of the HummingSat GEO satellites for SES and Viasat.

Progress on the first four HummingSat satellites advanced significantly. Both programmes were on track for Critical Design Review in early 2026. Additionally, HummingSat was chosen for APAC’s first GEO satellite-to-device platform, NEASTAR-1.

Technological innovation remained a focus. The company unveiled HummingLink-SOTP, an ultra-light, portable GEO user terminal. Built using proprietary 3D-printed RF technologies, it aimed to provide agile, secure communications for operators, organisations, and governments. Dr. Emile de Rijk, SWISSto12’s CEO, highlighted how such advancements were transforming global connectivity.

Recognition followed these achievements. At Satellite 2025 in Washington DC, Dr. de Rijk was named Satellite Executive of the Year. By the end of 2025, SWISSto12 had reinforced its position in the satellite industry. The company’s revenue and workforce growth, alongside new facilities and cutting-edge products, set a strong foundation for future projects. The upcoming Critical Design Review for HummingSat marked the next milestone in its development.
