Tragic drowning of 7-year-old King Supa Dixon leaves family heartbroken
A 7-year-old boy named King Supa Dixon has died after drowning in a canal near his home in Leisure City. His family remember him as a joyful child who loved to run and explore. A vigil will be held this weekend to honour his life. King went missing on Tuesday afternoon shortly after returning from school. He wandered away from his home, and his body was later found in the canal. The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office is now investigating the circumstances of the tragedy.
His mother, Allanda Dorval, returned to the canal where he lost his life. There, she shared fond memories of her son, describing him as 'vibrant, happy, full of love, and brave.' King’s great-aunt, Carla Deliford, also spoke about his energy, explaining that he was autistic and loved to run.
The family has set up a fundraising page to cover burial expenses. Meanwhile, a vigil for King is planned for Saturday at 7 p.m. in a Homestead park. His mother will be attending to pay her respects alongside others who knew him.
King had simple but bright passions. He enjoyed fruit, jumping, and learning about outer space—interests that reflected his lively and curious nature. The community will gather to remember King Supa Dixon at a vigil this weekend. Fundraising efforts continue to support his family during this difficult time. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
