Twenty people from six different countries officially became German citizens in a ceremony at the district administration office. District Administrator Peter Dreier welcomed them, calling their path to citizenship a journey of perseverance and achievement.

The new citizens originally came from Egypt, Syria, Poland, Romania, Kosovo, and Bulgaria. Each received their naturalisation certificates during the event.

The ceremony began with the new citizens reciting an oath. They pledged their commitment to Germany's free and democratic constitutional order.

After the oath, Dreier addressed the group. He highlighted the rights and duties that come with German citizenship. He encouraged them to take an active role in society and make use of their new rights. Each new citizen was given a set of documents to mark the occasion. These included a welcome letter from the state minister, a copy of the German Basic Law, and a book about the local district. The items were presented alongside their naturalisation certificates. Dreier spoke warmly about the challenges they had overcome. He described their journey as enriching, not just for them but for the community they now fully belong to.

The new citizens left the ceremony with official recognition of their status. They now hold the same rights and responsibilities as all German nationals. The district administration confirmed no further details about naturalisation trends in the area since 2020.
