Ukraine's MORRIGAN Drone Strikes Deep Behind Russian Lines in Crimea

Ukraine’s 412th Nemesis Brigade has unveiled a new domestically built strike drone named MORRIGAN. The fixed-wing system is designed to hit targets deep behind Russian lines, focusing on logistics and infrastructure in occupied regions. Recent operations have already shown its impact on key supply routes in southern Ukraine. MORRIGAN was developed as a middle-strike platform, built for manoeuvrability and long-range missions. Its primary role is to disrupt Russian military infrastructure, including air defences and transport networks. Footage released by the Nemesis Brigade confirms strikes on Russian trucks moving along routes between Mariupol, Melitopol, and Simferopol.

The drone has been deployed in Crimea, where it successfully destroyed air defence systems and support facilities. Ukrainian forces are increasingly using such systems to target logistics corridors linking Berdiansk, Melitopol, and Dzhankoi. These attacks aim to weaken Russian supply chains in temporarily occupied territories. The Defense Intelligence Directorate has reported multiple strikes on Russian logistics hubs. MORRIGAN forms part of a broader push to expand drone operations against enemy rear-area assets. Its ability to reach deep into contested zones marks a shift in Ukraine’s long-range strike capabilities.

The introduction of MORRIGAN strengthens Ukraine’s ability to strike Russian logistics networks across southern Ukraine. The drone’s operations in Crimea and along key supply routes have already disrupted enemy movements. Further deployments are expected as Ukrainian forces expand their drone warfare capabilities.
