New Week Begins with Sun, Fog, and Showers - Unsettled week ahead as thunderstorms and spring warmth collide
A mix of springlike warmth and unsettled weather is on the way this week. While Monday stays mostly dry, showers and even thunderstorms will develop by midweek. Temperatures will climb, but fog and frost may linger in places overnight.
Monday will bring fair conditions for most, with highs of 15 to 19°C (59 to 66°F). Only the southwest may see a few scattered showers.
Overnight into Tuesday, dense fog and patches of ground frost are expected—except in western regions. Tuesday itself turns cloudier, with coastal areas peaking around 10°C (50°F) and inland spots reaching 15 to 19°C.
By Wednesday, showers and thunderstorms will push in from the west. The heaviest downpours and storms are likely in Brandenburg, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia, and parts of eastern and southeastern Bavaria. Meanwhile, drier weather will hold in the northwest (Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein), west (North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate), and north (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Hamburg). The sun will shine longest in southern and eastern areas.
The week starts mild but turns increasingly unsettled. Showers and thunderstorms will spread across much of the country by Wednesday. Those in the northwest and north can expect the driest conditions, while eastern and southeastern regions face the highest risk of storms.
