Vladivostok's busy intersection gets a summer makeover by July
A major upgrade is coming to the intersection of Fontannaya Street and Oceansky Prospect in Vladivostok. The project will replace traffic lights, modernise underground cables, and restore the road surface before the end of July. Work is scheduled to start on June 1, just as schools break for summer holidays. The contractor Prometei LLC will handle the entire project. Their tasks include installing new traffic lights, upgrading underground cables, and repairing the road and pavements. To minimise disruption, the work will take place in stages with partial lane closures.
Partial road restrictions will begin on June 1. Drivers should expect delays as sections of the intersection are closed off in turns. The contractor has been given a strict deadline to finish all work—including final road surfacing—by the end of July. City officials have timed the project to avoid peak traffic periods. With schools closed for the summer, fewer vehicles are expected on the roads. This should help reduce congestion during the upgrades.
The completed upgrades will bring modernised traffic signals and improved infrastructure to the busy intersection. Once finished, the project will restore full access to all lanes and pavements. Prometei LLC must ensure everything is completed by the July deadline to avoid further disruptions.
